PRESENTATION
Mr. William W. Squyres has over 15 years combined experience in Quality Control, Technical Services, Materials Testing, Diagnostics and Forensics. He has developed and managed quality control and technical services programs for material suppliers throughout Texas and continues to provide consulting services in the industry. Mr. Squyres has performed and directed: testing of concrete and other construction materials; forensic investigation of construction failure, distress, damage, and degradation; litigation support and expert witness; has prepared remedial design drawings and specifications, has monitored and reviewed rehabilitation construction activities, and materials; and construction quality control and quality assurance programs. Throughout his career, Mr. Squyres has performed testing, field monitoring, inspection, and engineering evaluation of concrete structural elements, piers, piles, footings, slabs, mats, columns, walls, pavements, runways; earthwork - fill control, compaction, stabilization, proof-rolling; steel structural elements and connections. ABSTRACT : Considering all the requirements of a mix design, workability, durability, finish-ability, and end use, while exploring the relationship and differences between the ACI 211 method of proportioning mix designs and the absolute volume method.
