ABSTRACT : The following are examples of actual trials in which I cross-examined the opposing parties expert witness: 1. The investigating office failed to pass the Texas Drivers Handbook Test in a multiple fatality accident on Interstate 10. 2. The Plaintiffs Economists opinions about economic forecasting may not be any more reliable than the flip of a coin. 3. If the factual information that the Plaintiffs Attorneys furnish to their economist is not reliable, then then Plaintiffs Attorneys Economists testimony is not admissible. 4. Cross-examining opposing counsel on attorneys fees when opposing counsel is an Irishman from New York who attended Harvard Law School and is a senior trial attorney i the largest firm in Boston. 5. Some thoughts about the selection of the expert witnesses and consulting experts and dual capacity witnesses.
