Cost-Effective and Sustainable Concrete Flatwork

Seth Pendarvis is the Texas Territory Manager for PNA Construction Technologies. Mr. Pendarvis has spent the last 15 years in the construction industry as an engineer, paving contractor, and manufacturing representative.  Seth is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and a graduate of Texas A&M University.

PRESENTATION SUMMARY

The biggest complaint in industrial slabs today are the inability to control cracking in traffic areas.  This presentation will show how to design slabs to control cracks due to curl and shrinkage.  These methods will focus on Performance-Based Designs that are based on criteria set forth in ACI 360 and ACI 302.
