Reinforced Earth - Applications, Construction and Design

This talk will discuss the history of the development of the Reinforced Earth Technology along with a presentation of a wide array of applications. The construction of Reinforced Earth walls will be illustrated, followed by a thorough discussion of design principles and practices. Special attention will be given to geotechnical aspects of the design. In addition, some conditions will be presented where special foundation considerations are necessary.

Mr. Schick is a licensed professional engineer and has been with The Reinforced Earth Company (RECo) since 1981. He is based in the Dallas - Fort Worth area and currently serves as RECo’s Vice President and Division Manager for Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. Mr. Schick is a member of ASCE & AREMA.
