Tracy Brettmann is the Vice President of Engineering for A.H. Beck Foundation Company working out of its Houston, Texas office. Mr. Brettmann is responsible for overseeing all engineering operations for Beck's specialty deep foundation, energy pile, soil improvement and earth retention projects. Mr. Brettmann is a past president of the Deep Foundations Institute and is a former chair of its Augered Cast-in-Place Pile committee.  He currently serves on the Board of the DFI Educational Trust.

The Thermal Integrity Profiler (TIP) uses the heat generated by curing cement to assess the diameter and quality of cast-in-place foundations such as augered-cast-in-place (ACIP) piles and drilled shafts.  This presentation described the TIP equipment, analysis and provides three case history examples of its use.
